Don’t overdo the packing tape.
Packing tape is expensive, so don’t waste it! Use packing tape only to seal boxes, not to hold them together. If you need to keep your items from shifting around in a moving van or storage unit, place some packing paper or blankets between each box and then use one layer of bubble wrap over the top. Bubble wrap comes in handy when you’re trying to protect fragile items like glassware and dishes during transit.
